Serve – Reach Out

Service is a huge part of life at SSCC. We encourage everyone to Reach Up, Reach In, and Reach Out and “reaching out” is done through serving in your church, community, and world. A simple goal for reaching out is to make a difference in another’s life. This may be accomplished by helping people find a parking spot on Sunday morning, rocking a baby while parents attend a worship service, providing maintenance to a neighbor in town, helping train locals in our Ecuador village project to be self-sufficient, or a multitude of others ways in between.

There are two main ways to reach out:

In Your Church Home

This is commonly referred to as volunteering at church. Volunteering at SSCC looks different for everyone; it could be rocking a baby, leading a small group of 4th graders, helping people find a parking place, or helping someone find a seat. We hope that everyone who considers SSCC their church home will find somewhere to serve in their church. To find your place to serve, email jon@sscommunitychurch.com

In Your Community and World

This is commonly referred to as missions. Missions are a huge part of SSCC’s calling too. A large portion of our annual budget is committed to work outside of our walls. We have strategic partnerships in town and internationally and would love to connect you with one of them. For more information on reaching out in the world, email dustin@sscommunitychurch.com
