Strategic Partners

As part of SSCC, you help in the monthly support of the following ministries and organizations:

Local

  • CareNet Pregnancy Center
    • Function: Provides free pregnancy test and peer counselors for women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy situation. Women also receive training through video studies on childbirth, pregnancy, parenting skills, and Bible studies. These women can “earn” points to help them to obtain items that will be needed such as cribs, playpens, baby clothes, formula, diapers, and maternity clothes as well. There is also a support group for women who chose to abort their unborn babies to help them through the recovery process.
    • Support: Volunteers are needed to counsel peers, work in reception, organize baby items, and to assist with special mailings, fund raisers, and Father Daughter Purity Ball. Donations of diapers, formula, baby food, wipes, breast pumps, diaper bags, cribs, high chairs; new car seats are always welcome.

  • Living Well Ministries
    • Function: An inter-denominational Christian lay ministry devoted to soul-care through both wellness and recovery programs. Servant leadership training is also offered. These programs are not professional counseling or therapy. The educational, interactive groups employ a discipleship process that helps individuals address obstacles to abundant life in Christ by using biblical principles and skills. This ministry relies on private support for the funding of its programs, to meet the need for financial scholarships and to pay off the mortgage on their building.

  • Children in Actions Sports Club (CIA)/Partnership with FCA
    • Function: A brand new organization started by Allen Brenner with a vision to “encourage Christ-like growth and development in our youth through the influence of athletics and coaches.”
    • Support: The program is open to children ages 10 and up and is designed to help those enjoy sports who might not be able to afford traditional athletic programs. Each program has a “huddle” discussion about God’s word and puts Christ front and center, exposing the children to a life style modeled after Christ. Many of these children have never been exposed to the gospel.
