St. Simons Community Church offers ministry to all ages. We seek to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ by creating relevant environments where people are encouraged and equipped to “reach up, reach in, and reach out”.
Reach Up: Worship
Worship is expressing my love to God. Worship should be a discipline in the daily life of every single Believer and is also a beautiful expression that is practiced corporately. Throughout the ministries at SSCC we are encouraged to “reach up” through our worship. Whether this is during our Sunday morning corporate gatherings, student and children events, or small groups – reaching up to God in worship is a vital component of our ministries.
Our primary times of corporate worship for adults is our Sunday services. You can watch our worship services online or listen to the sermons via our podcast. To learn more about practical aspects of our worship, including our response to God through music and song, visit our Worship Arts area.
Be sure to visit the areas for Children and Student (Youth) ministry for more information on these areas of ministry.
Reach In: Groups
The heart of SSCC is found in our small groups and discipleship ministries. This is where people can “reach in” to truly discover authentic community as they meet with others to develop encouraging relationships, and grow together through Bible study and prayer. We encourage every believer to “reach in” and find a place to connect and grow that is beyond Sunday morning.
SSCC hosts small groups, classroom electives, Bible studies, and home meetings. Visit our “Groups” page to learn more about the groups available and to connect.
Reach Out: Serve
A true follower of Christ also seeks to “reach out” to others through service and evangelism. We encourage members and attendees of SSCC to find a place of strategic service in our body, to be a contributor and not just a consumer. We also encourage the people of SSCC to “invest and invite” their friends to join us at SSCC.
Volunteering at SSCC is an incredible ministry and there is never a lack of need for people to serve God through volunteer positions. From leading small groups to parking cars, singing on the praise team to cooking meals for those in need, we have a place for you to “reach out” and serve. For a glance at volunteer opportunities and to signup online, simply visit our Volunteer area.
One of the ways we reach out as church is through Missions.
