Service Info
What Times are the Services?
We have services at 9:00 and 11:00am. Both provide the same experience and are held at the same place. A parking lot greeter will help you park and a host team member will help you get where you want to be. Directions are over here.
Also note that our offerings for students and children differ for each service. Please see the Children and Students pages for the current offerings. Nursery is provided during both main services.
What Can I Expect at a Service?
When you come to SSCC, we hope you feel like you are at home. We do our best to provide an atmosphere of hospitality, fun, and joy. I have heard people say after coming to SSCC that they didn’t know church could be so fun. While we do seek to enjoy our time together as a church, we are truly a people who seek to reach up and discover God. We do this through worship, prayer, and teaching from God’s Word. Our praise band seeks to blend some of the old hymns (with a more modern sound) and many of the new worship songs that are being written today. Our teaching seeks to be relevant to every day life that leaves you with something to think about as you go home. All of this is done in a somewhat informal setting as we seek to create a relevant environment for worship.
How Should I Dress?
We have always said to “Come as you are.” It is not your outward appearance that matters to God, but He is truly more interested in your heart. At SSCC, you will encounter guys wearing everything from dress pants and collared shirts to blue jeans and t-shirts. I am a guy writing this so I am not quite sure how to describe how the women dress, but just imagine the female equivalent of what I said about the guys and you should have a good idea. The bottom line is that dress is not that important of an issue in our worship - just please wear something! (Occasionally somebody wears a tie, and it usually tends to be a visitor.) So just “come as you are”, dress as you feel comfortable, and you will fit right in.
